Freshman point guard Gabby Greene earns her second Raptor of the Week honor in three weeks after her stellar effort in the fourth quarter helped the Rutgers-Camden women’s basketball team stave off a furious rally by The College of New Jersey Wednesday night, helping the Raptors post a 65-61 victory in their lone game of the week. Greene scored eight of the Scarlet Raptors’ 14 points in the fourth quarter, when TCNJ cut a 17-point deficit down to one point before Rutgers-Camden hung on for the win. With the Raptors’ lead cut to 62-61, Greene hit two huge free throws with 19 seconds remaining to end the Lions’ comeback bid. Overall, she was 5-for-6 from the foul line and also hit a three-pointer in the final quarter. While the Raptors were only 11-for-25 from the line in the game, Greene went 6-for-8 from the charity stripe on her way to 18 points, her third-highest collegiate scoring output. She also added two rebounds, two assists and four steals. For the season, Greene is second on the team in scoring (11.7 points per game), second in assists (57) and tied for second in steals (41). She leads the club with 26 treys.
