Rutgers-Camden Athletics

Sophomore righty Carter Fichter turned in an outstanding relief appearance in his first game of the season for the Rutgers-Camden baseball team on Saturday, allowing the Scarlet Raptors to rally from a two-run deficit to beat previously undefeated Brockport, 8-2. Fichter worked 4-2/3 hitless, scoreless innings against a team which entered the game ranked 27th nationally in the D3baseball.com poll and sported a .378 team batting average. Fichter walked three and struck out four to earn his first decision of the season and help the Scarlet Raptors improve to 2-0. In his brief Rutgers-Camden career, Fichter is 5-2 with a 2.20 ERA in 49 innings pitched.
