Rutgers-Camden Athletics

Seniors Ryan Dick and Kevin Sarlo led a Rutgers-Camden romp at the North Eastern Athletic Conference Golf Championships over the weekend. The Scarlet Raptors captured their fifth consecutive NEAC crown, winning by 26 strokes in the two-day event, to earn another trip to the NCAA Division III Golf Championships. Sarlo and Ryan tied for second place in the 44-man field with identical two-round scores of 74-77—151, one stroke behind medalist Mike Lam of Penn State-Abington. Dick and Sarlo also joined senior teammate Zach Arsenault on the NEAC First Team as the Scarlet Raptors placed three of their players on the five-man squad. The rest of the Raptors’ team earned All-NEAC honors as well, as sophomore Cory Meyer captured a berth on the Second Team and senior Pete DeStefano was a Third Team member. Rutgers-Camden has now won the NEAC golf title seven times in the nine years it has been a member of the conference. The Raptors will play for the NCAA title May 16-19 in Florida.
