Rutgers-Camden Athletics

Freshman outside hitter Jordan Erskine had a stellar week as the Rutgers-Camden volleyball team won three of its four matches to hike its record to 9-8 overall and 2-1 in the New Jersey Athletic Conference. Erskine collected 30 kills in the four matches, while adding one assist, eight digs and a team-high 11 blocks (three solo, eight assists). She saved her biggest performance for the Raptors’ final match of the week, a 3-0 win over Wilkes University in the second contest of Saturday’s home tri-match. Against the Colonels, she had nine kills, two digs and six blocks (one solo, five assisted). Coupled with eight kills earlier in the day in a 3-0 sweep over Penn State-Brandywine, she collected 17 kills in the tri-match. In 17 matches (58 sets) during her rookie season, Erskine leads the team with 114 kills and a 1.97 kills/set average. She is third on the team in blocks with 30 (seven solo, 23 assisted) and has added 29 digs and two assists.
