Junior midfielder/forward Shane Guyer scored two goals, including the game winner, as the Scarlet Raptors defeated Hunter College, 3-1, on Saturday in the first round of the ECAC Division III Men’s Soccer Championship. Two minutes after Hunter scored the game’s first goal, Guyer tied the contest at 19:28, assisted by Brad Maine. With the score still knotted at 1-1 late in the game, Guyer took a feed from Patrick Grudnik on the left side of the box and fired a high shot into the right side for the eventual game-winning goal. The Scarlet Raptors ended the season Sunday with a 1-0 quarterfinal loss to Drew University. Guyer finished his season with five goals and one assist for 11 points, tying for third on the team in scoring. He tied Maine for the club lead with two game-winning goals. In his two seasons at Rutgers-Camden, after transferring from Rowan University, Guyer has produced eight goals (three game winners) and two assists for 18 points in 40 games.
