With the Rutgers-Camden women’s basketball team playing shorthanded due to a flu bug, junior co-captain Cara Racobaldo came up with a huge effort to help the Scarlet Raptors win their only game of the week, a 48-35 victory over Ramapo College in a New Jersey Athletic Conference contest Jan. 4. Racobaldo collected a double-double with 10 points and a game-high 12 rebounds, while adding two assists, as the Scarlet Raptors hiked their record to  9-3 overall and evened their NJAC mark at 3-3. It was her second double-double of the season and allowed her to win her second honor of the season as the school’s Raptor of the Week. The first came on Nov. 21. Racobaldo’s game allowed her career totals to approach three significant milestones: she needs one more point to notch her 500th career point, 12 more boards to reach 400 rebounds and only four more assists to become the fourth player in program history to collect 300 career assists. She isn’t far from a milestone in steals either, needing only 26 to reach the 200 career plateau.
