Matt Curtis (West Deptford, NJ/West Deptford)
Senior Matt Curtis dominated the New Jersey Athletic Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships Saturday night at the New Balance Armory in New York City. Curtis won conference titles in the 200- and 400-meter dash, anchored the winning 4x200 relay team and anchored the second-place 4x400 team. He ran ECAC qualifiers in all four events, broke his own program record with a 22.09 clocking at 200 meters and helped to break the program record in the 4x200 with a time of 1:29.43, a mark he helped to set last season. The 400-meter NJAC title was the second straight crown in that event for Curtis, who was named the NJAC Indoor Track Athlete of the Week for the fourth time this season after his performance. Curtis was named the Most Outstanding Male Athlete at the NJAC Championships during his junior year on the way to earning All-America honors at 400 meters. The Raptor of the Week honor is the second this winter for Curtis, who also won it on Feb. 10.
