Sophomore guard Gabby Greene had an unbelievable shooting night during the Rutgers-Camden women’s basketball victory at Rowan University Jan. 25, hitting 11 of 15 three-point field goal attempts to shatter the program’s old single-game record of eight treys, set by Alex Gravinese. Greene scored 33 points, passing her previous career high of 30, with one of the finest three-point performances in Division III history: her 11 treys were only four shy of the Division III record, a mark that was set with 33 attempts. Greene continued her hot shooting with a 4-for-8 performance from three-point range in a loss at Rutgers-Newark Saturday, collecting 12 points. For the week, she averaged 22.5 points, aided by 15-for-23 shooting (.652) from beyond the arc. She also collected five steals, five assists and two rebounds. Her 15 treys for the week hiked her single-season total to 66, placing her only seven shy of Rutgers-Camden’s single-season program mark, held by Gravinese. With 118 treys already in her young career, she is one of only four players in program history to pass the century milestone for three-pointers and her current shooting percentage (118-for-337, .350) is higher than the only three players ahead of her on the all-time list for treys. With 28 more treys, she will tie Megan Crank (1992-96) for third place on the career list. With 29, she’ll tie Maureen McGovern (1994-99) for second place. The program’s all-time leader is Gravinese, who notched 172 three-pointers from 2012-15.
