Junior co-captain Michelle Obasi earns her second Raptor of the Week honor this season after collecting three double-doubles for the women’s basketball team in their three games last week. Obasi averaged 12.3 points and 13.7 rebounds in those games and also added 12 assists (4.0 average), eight steals (2.67) and three blocked shots (1.0). In a win over powerful Kean University on Jan. 30, she collected 14 points, 18 rebounds, four steals, two blocked shots and a career-high six assists. The 14 points hiked her career total over the 800 plateau to 805. She also had 10 points and 10 rebounds against Stockton University (Feb. 1) and added 13 points and 13 rebounds in another game against Kean on Saturday. The three-double-doubles gave Obasi five for the season and 11 double-doubles in her Scarlet Raptor career. Over her three seasons at Rutgers-Camden, Obasi owns 828 points and is 10th on the program’s all-time list with 563 rebounds. Obasi captured her first Raptor of the Week award this season on November 28.
