Junior southpaw Ron Reagan fired a three-hit shutout to beat the nation’s fourth-ranked team, Kean University, 3-0, in the Scarlet Raptors’ New Jersey Athletic Conference baseball opener Saturday. Reagan hurled no-hit ball for 5-2/3 innings before allowing a triple. He allowed only two singles the rest of the way, picking one of those runners off first base. He finished with one walk and five strikeouts as he raised his record to 3-1 on the season and lowered his ERA to 1.40.
