Last week's New Jersey Athletic Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week, senior righty Carter Fichter had another stellar outing in his only game this week. He hurled a six-hit shutout to beat Ripon College, 2-0, Sunday at the RussMatt Central Florida Invitational. Fichter walked three and struck out eight, including the final two batters of the game with the bases loaded and one out in the ninth inning to preserve the shutout and win. In 16 innings this year he is 2-0 with a 0.56 ERA, allowing 10 hits and striking out 13. His contributions have helped Rutgers-Camden get off to a 4-1 start this season.
