Rutgers-Camden Athletics

Freshman guard Wykira Johnson-Kelly earns her second Raptor of the Week this season after averaging 17.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, 3.0 steals and 1.5 assists in two games for the Rutgers-Camden women’s basketball team. Johnson scored 17 points apiece in the final game of the regular season, a win at Montclair State (Feb. 13), and in the Raptors’ New Jersey Athletic Conference opening-round playoff loss at Rutgers-Newark (Feb. 16). She added three rebounds, three assists and her career-high of six steals against Montclair State, while hauling down five boards against Rutgers-Newark. Johnson-Kelly, who won her first Raptor of the Week honor on Jan. 21, has been a three-time NJAC Women’s Basketball Rookie of the Week this season (Nov. 12, Dec. 10 and Jan. 21). She finished her freshman season second on the team in scoring (15.9 ppg), second in rebounding (6.7 rpg), second in assists (61) and third in steals (54).
