Junior guard Arian Azemi averaged 30.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 5.5 steals while helping the Rutgers-Camden men’s basketball team post a 1-1 week in New Jersey Athletic Conference play. He scored a career-high 35 points and added eight rebounds, six assists and nine steals as the Raptors posted an 89-77 win at Montclair State University Jan. 15. Not only was it the Scarlet Raptors’ first win at Montclair State since Jan. 28, 2004, but his 35 points were the most by a Rutgers-Camden player since Vincent Anfield Jr. notched 39 against Stockton University, Jan. 31, 2018. Azemi shot 14-for-24 from the floor in that game. Three days later, in a loss at New Jersey City University, Azemi scored a game-high 26 points, while adding eight rebounds, five assists, two steals and one block. For the season, Azemi leads the team in scoring (20.3 points per game), assists (71) and steals (49), while ranking second in rebounding (6.1 rpg). Azemi also was named the Raptor of the Week on December 2.
