Indoor track star Emily Hilt earns her third Raptor of the Week honor this winter after raising the women’s shot put program record for the fourth time in five meets. Hilt, a junior academically who has sophomore eligibility for indoor track, had a shot put of 12.30 meters to finish first of 55 competitors at Saturday’s Frank Colden Invitational, held at Ursinus College. In her five meets this year she has thrown four ECAC qualifiers in the shot put, while breaking the program record four times. She also has set a program record in the weight throw (14.43 meters at the season-opening Fastrack Opener Dec. 6) and has thrown two ECAC qualifiers in her three meets competing in the weight throw. She was named the New Jersey Athletic Conference Women’s Indoor Track Field Athlete of the Week on Monday, marking the second time this season she has won that honor (the first came on Dec. 16). Her previous Raptor of the Week honors came on Dec. 9 and Jan. 27.
