Alexis Marini had an impressive indoor track debut for the Scarlet Raptors at the Fastrack Season Opener Dec. 3 at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex on Staten Island. Marini, a sophomore academically who has freshman eligibility for indoor track, finished eighth out of 35 athletes in the shot put (10.94 meters) and 16th out of 25 in the weight throw (10.32 meters) in her first collegiate indoor meet. Since the indoor track season was cancelled last winter due to the pandemic, Marini made her overall collegiate debut with the outdoor track team last spring. She competed in the hammer throw, the shot put and the discus during the outdoor season.
