Senior Emily Hilt made her 2021-22 indoor track debut in impressive fashion Dec. 10 at Ursinus College. Competing in the shot put at the Bow-Tie Invitational, Hilt finished first out of 26 athletes with a put of 12.85 meters. Her distance was over one meter longer than the runner-up distance of 11.58 meters. Hilt’s performance followed a terrific spring season in outdoor track when she finished in the top three of the shot put at six of her seven meets, including a trio of first-place finishes. She earned All-New Jersey Athletic Conference Second Team honors in the discus and NJAC Honorable Mention in both the shot put and the weight throw during the outdoor season.
