Freshman Ken Komatsu set a Rutgers-Camden indoor track program record in the pole vault Saturday, finishing fourth of 10 competitors with a height of 3.65 meters (11-11.75) at the Collegeville Classic. He broke the program mark of 3.52 meters set by Andrew Giordano at the New Jersey Athletic Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships on Feb. 23, 2009. Komatsu, who made his collegiate track debut back in December running the 200-meter dash in a pair of meets, was making his collegiate pole vault debut at the Collegeville Classic. His fourth-place finish accounted for all five points registered by the Rutgers-Camden men’s team.
