One of the top throwers on the Rutgers-Camden women’s indoor track team, Alexis Marini had a fine day Friday at the Bow-Tie Invitational, held at Ursinus College. Marini collected 10 of the Scarlet Raptors’ 22.5 points with a pair of top-five finishes in her two events. She finished third of 23 athletes in the weight throw with a PR of 13.14 meters and placed fifth of 38 in the shot put (10.38 meters). A junior academically, she is competing in her second season with the indoor track program, since the 2020-21 indoor season was cancelled due to the pandemic. Marini will compete in her third outdoor track season in the spring.
