Senior guard/forward Rahzirah Blocker earns her second Raptor of the Week honor this season after a tremendous performance in two games during the week. Blocker averaged 27.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 2.0 steals in games against The College of New Jersey (Jan. 18) and Montclair State University (Jan. 21). In the TCNJ game, she scored 20 points, shooting 8-for-15 from the floor and 4-for-4 from the foul line, while adding eight rebounds and one steal. Against Montclair State, she scored a career-high 35 points, passing her previous high of 30 points, which was set in her first game at Rutgers-Camden on Nov. 7, 7, 2021, against Penn State-Lehigh Valley. Blocker shot 12-for-26 from the floor against MSU and was a perfect 11-for-11 from the foul line. She also added seven rebounds and three steals. For the season, she is second on the team in scoring (15.2 ppg), but is averaging 23.8 points in her last five games. She also has been successful on her last 19 foul shots.
