Junior Alexis Marini collected her second Raptor of the Week honor for the 2022-23 scholastic year after a record-setting performance at the Widener Invitational over the weekend. On Friday, Marini broke the women’s outdoor track program record in the discus with a throw of 37.81 meters, helping her finish sixth of 30 athletes in the event. She also placed 22nd of 50 athletes with a shot put of 10.12 meters. On Saturday, her hammer throw of 47.37 meters helped her finish fourth out of 29 athletes. Marini previously captured Raptor of the Week honors this year on Dec. 12 after a standout week for the indoor track program.
