Senior middle hitter/outside hitter Isabella Choice sparked the Rutgers-Camden volleyball team to a 3-0 week, extending the Scarlet Raptors’ winning streak to five matches. choice collected 20 kills and a team-leading 14 blocks (one solo, 13 assisted) during the week, while adding five service aces and one dig. She opened the week with 10 kills and seven assisted blocks as the Scarlet Raptors won a five-set match at Rowan University, the pre-season New Jersey Athletic Conference favorite in the coaches’ poll. It was Rutgers-Camden’s first win over Rowan since 2012. She continued that performance by playing six of seven sets as the Raptors won a tri-match at Washington College on Saturday, notching 10 kills, five service aces and seven blocks (one solo, six assisted) during the sweep. For the season, Choice has 95 kills (second on the team), is hitting .236 and leads the club with 39 blocks (nine solo, 30 assisted). She also is third on the Scarlet Raptors with 18 service aces. The big week of blocks gave Choice an even 200 for her career as she became only the fourth player in program history to reach that milestone.
