Junior Sean Boen continues to prove why he’s one of the elite goalkeepers in the New Jersey Athletic Conference. Boen posted a pair of shutouts last week, making five saves apiece in 1-0 wins over Ramapo College and New Jersey City University. He ran his shutout string to four straight games and his scoreless streak to 408:57. For the season, Boen has started all 11 games for the 8-2-1 Scarlet Raptors, while playing in 978:01 out of the team’s 990 minutes. He has seven shutouts, 43 saves, a 0.74 goals-against average and an .843 save percentage. As a sophomore last year, Boen earned NJAC Second Team honors, was a three-time NJAC Defensive Player of the Week and a two-time Rutgers-Camden Raptor of the Week. This season he was honored as the NJAC Defensive Player of the Week on Sept. 5 and added the same honor on Oct. 2.
