Senior guard Rahzirah Blocker averaged 18.5 points and 9.5 rebounds in her two games during the week for the Rutgers-Camden women’s basketball team, while adding six assists and four steals. She shot 17-for-20 from the foul line to raise her season foul shooting percentage to .731 (49-for-67). In a loss at Rowan on Wednesday, Blocker scored 12 points and tied for team-high honors with eight rebounds, two assists and two steals. In a loss at Rutgers-Newark on Saturday, she tied for game-high scoring honors with 25 points, while notching a game-high 11 rebounds to record her third double-double of the season. She also added two steals and led the Scarlet Raptors with four assists. For the season, Blocker leads Rutgers-Camden in scoring (18.3 points per game), ranks second in both rebounding (7.0 rpg) and assists (17), and is third in steals (15). She has hiked her career output to 859 points in only 52 games for an average of 16.5 points per game. Her career foul shooting percentage of .760 (190-for-250) is on pace to make her the program’s all-time leader once she reaches the NCAA career minimum of 250 foul shots made.
