Sophomore forward Cameron Downs earns his third Raptor of the Week honor this scholastic year after collecting his season double-double of the season to help the Raptors win their only game of the week on Saturday. He scored a game-high 19 points and had a game-tying high of 10 rebounds as Rutgers-Camden beat Delaware Valley University, 76-65, in a non-conference road game. He also added one assist and tied for team-high honors with three steals. Downs shot 8-for-11 from the floor to spark the win that evened the Scarlet Raptors' record at 6-6. It’s the first time Rutgers-Camden has been .500 through 12 games since a 7-5 start in 2014-15, the team’s last winning season (14-12). For the season, Downs lead the Scarlet Raptors in scoring (17.5 ppg), rebounding (6.0 rpg) and steals (23). He is tied for second in blocks (6) and also has collected 17 assists. He is shooting 69-for-116 from the floor (.595) and 41-for-58 (.707) from the foul line. Downs previously earned Raptor of the Week honors this season on November 20 and December 4.
