Rutgers-Camden Athletics

Sophomore second baseman Gianna Bauer continued to power the offense for the Rutgers-Camden softball team during the Scarlet Raptors’ six games last week. Bauer hit .444 (8-for-18) with two runs and four RBIs, while also adding a walk for a .450 on-base percentage. Bauer, in her first year of collegiate softball, has hit safely in 14 of the 16 games the Raptors have played this season, including seven straight games to start the year and five of the six games last week. She leads the team with a .472 batting average, while adding 10 runs and 10 RBIs. She captured New Jersey Athletic Conference Softball Rookie of the Week honors on March 11 and March 18.
