Rutgers-Camden Athletics

Sophomore Santino Leone led the Rutgers-Camden golf team at both invitationals last week, tying for sixth place out of 37 golfers at the United East Conference Preview on Monday and finishing sixth of 40 at the Alvernia University Invitational Tuesday. He shot a 8-over par 81 at the United East event in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania and carded a 6-over par 78 at Alvernia’s invitational in Mohnton, Pennsylvania. Through three fall invitationals he is tied for the team lead with Pearse Lee, averaging a 79.7. In 13 career rounds over his 1-1/2 seasons at Rutgers-Camden, he is averaging 83.1.
