Freshman Talia Thomasson competed in three events for the indoor track team at the Wagner Seahawk Shootout on Dec. 12, including a pair of program-record performances. She set the women’s indoor record for the 600-meter run in a time of 1:52.29, breaking the nine-year old mark of 1:53.82 held by Courtney Childress, while finishing 27th of 33 athletes in the event. She combined with Sydnie Marshall, Sofia Tabet and Haely Cookhorn to set a new program mark of 1:51.89 in the women’s 4x200 relay, topping the five-year old record of 1:53.39, while finishing 20th of 21 teams. Thomasson also posted a 10.88 clocking in the women’s 60-meer hurdles to place 48th of 51 in that event. It was the second collegiate meet for Thomasson, who earned her first Rutgers-Camden letter during the fall semester as a member of the women’s soccer program.
