Freshman guard Marcus Taylor turned in a fine week for the Rutgers-Camden men’s basketball team as the Scarlet Raptors split a pair of games. Taylor collected 13 points, two rebounds and a game-high seven assists as Rutgers-Camden defeated Rowan Tuesday to post its first win of the season and open its New Jersey Athletic Conference schedule with a victory. In a non-conference loss at Lycoming College Sunday, Taylor collected a game-high 23 points, while adding three rebounds and two steals. Overall, he shot 13-for-24 from the floor (.542) while averaging 18.0 points, 3.5 assists and 2.5 rebounds during the week. In his first four collegiate games, Taylor is averaging 13.5 points – third on the team in scoring – and is shooting 20-for-45 (.444) from the floor.
