Senior Keegan Balle came to Rutgers-Camden after a brilliant three-year career at Division I Bradley University, which included CollegeSportsMadness.com All-American Fourth Team honors last season. Now Balle has become an integral part of the Scarlet Raptors’ team which is making its first trip ever to the NCAA Final Four. The talented defensive midfielder has helped anchor a Raptor squad which features 12 shutouts and a 0.65 goals-against average, but his leadership is felt all over the field. Fourth on the team in scoring (seven goals, four assists, 18 points), he struck for two huge goals to help the Scarlet Raptors eliminate York (PA) College, 3-1, in Saturday’s Sweet 16 game. A day later, he joined his teammates in a stellar defensive effort in a 2-1 victory over Montclair State University in the Elite Eight as Rutgers-Camden punched its ticket to the Final Four in San Antonio, Texas, Dec. 6-7.
