Sophomore forward Mike Ryan had a big start to the men’s soccer season, scoring two goals in each of the Scarlet Raptors’ first two games. Ryan notched both goals in a season-opening 2-1 win at Muhlenberg College for Rutgers-Camden, which is ranked No. 14 in the NSCAA Division III pre-season poll. He added the first two goals of a 4-3 win at DeSales the next day, giving him four goals in his first two games and increasing his career total to 21. A NSCAA Third Team All-American as a freshman last season, Ryan also was named the New Jersey Athletic Conference Rookie of the Year and was a member of the NJAC First Team.
