Senior Rebecca Gougher sparked the Rutgers-Camden women’s soccer team to a pair of 1-0 victories during the week, not only with her play in the center midfield, but also with her offense. She notched her first career game-winning goal in a 1-0 victory at Cabrini College on Sept. 24 while playing all 90 minutes. Three days later, her perfect pass led to the game-winning goal by Catherine Fiore in a 1-0 victory over New Jersey City University. She played 74 minutes in that game on a hot day, while helping the Scarlet Raptors dominate the contest. One of the team’s four captains, Gougher has started all 61 of her career games, while collecting five goals and seven assists for 17 points.
