Rutgers-Camden Athletics

Junior guard Kamari Talley has been a powerful presence on the Rutgers University-Camden women’s basketball team since joining the program in late December. The transfer from Division I Saint Francis University had another fine performance in a pair of games last week as the Scarlet Raptors split a pair of New Jersey Athletic Conference contests. Talley averaged 16.5 points and 11.5 rebounds in those contests, while chipping in with 10 steals, six assists and one blocked shot. She had 20 points, 14 rebounds, two assists, five steals and a block in a win over The College of New Jersey Jan. 21 and added 13 points, nine rebounds, four assists and five steals in a one-point loss to William Paterson University Saturday. The four assists set her Rutgers-Camden career high, while both of her five-steal performances tied her Raptor high, which was set in her first Rutgers-Camden game against Elmira College Dec. 30. In her eight games with the Raptors, Talley is averaging 15.1 points and 9.0 rebounds.
