Senior southpaw Jeff Singer tossed the seventh no-hitter in Rutgers-Camden baseball history on April 23 when he hurled a 7-0 shutout at Montclair State University. Singer allowed only four walks while collecting 10 strikeouts, including three swinging strikeouts in the ninth inning. The victory not only lifted his record to 4-2 and lowered his ERA to 2.15, but it sparked the Scarlet Raptors on a 3-1 run through the final three days of the New Jersey Athletic Conference regular season as Rutgers-Camden captured the NJAC’s top seed for the upcoming playoffs.
