Rutgers-Camden Athletics

Kevin Sarlo completed his sophomore year by leading the Rutgers University-Camden golf team at the NCAA Division III Championships last week. Sarlo shot a two-round score of 77-80—157 to finish tied for 121st out of 210 golfers at the national championships. He closed his sophomore season leading the Scarlet Raptors with a 78.3 average in 12 rounds. Out of the team’s 10 spring invitationals, he posted the top Raptor score in seven, while consistently ranking among the leading golfers at each event. He was the overall medalist at the Immaculata University Spring Invitational (March 30), finished second out of 69 golfers at the RU-Camden Scarlet Raptor Spring Invitational (April 13) and was third of 40 at the North Eastern Athletic Conference Championships (April 18-19), while leading Rutgers-Camden to its third straight NEAC title. He also had four other Top 10 finishes this spring and was a two-time NEAC Golfer of the Week (March 24 and April 7). In two years with the Scarlet Raptors’ golf program, he has been named team MVP twice and has captured two NEAC First Team honors. Sarlo owns a 77.9 career average in 36 rounds at Rutgers-Camden.
