Athlete Awards Athletes of the Week Choose Awards Type All Athlete Awards Athletes of the Week Aubrey Andrews Award Athletes of the Week Week Of 10/26/2015 Sport Women's Soccer Bio View Full Bio Aubrey Andrews has been a stellar player for the Rutgers-Camden women’s soccer team all season long, and the sophomore transfer helped the Scarlet Raptors to a 2-0 record last week, keeping their hopes alive for a berth in the New Jersey Athletic Conference playoffs. Andrews, who played in the midfield most of the season before being switched to the back three games ago, led the Scarlet Raptors to a 5-0 win over New Jersey City University on Tuesday and a 2-1 victory against Rutgers-Newark Saturday. In the NJCU game, she scored the first goal of the game – the eventual game winner – to snap the Raptors’ scoreless streak at 604:24. Against Rutgers-Newark, she shut down the Scarlet Raiders’ top scoring threat. A transfer from The College of New Jersey, Andrews was cited by Head Coach David Hodgson for her leadership and her “unbelievable organizational skills,” which have helped to stabilize the Scarlet Raptor defense. In her first year at Rutgers-Camden she has one goal and two assists for four points.
