A former Rowan University catcher, Meagan Raines joined the Rutgers University-Camden softball coaching staff during the 2018 season and returns to the staff for her third year in 2020.
A two-year letterwinner with the Profs (2013-14), when she was known by her maiden name of Meagan Lee, she started 49 games during both her junior and senior seasons after transferring to Rowan from Burlington County College. She compiled a career .279 batting average at Rowan (84-for-301), while adding 34 runs and 27 RBIs. Defensively, she had a .992 fielding percentage, with 694 putouts, 41 assists and only six errors.
Lee hit .301 with eight doubles, two home runs, 21 runs and 14 RBIs as a junior. She hit .257 with five doubles, 13 runs and 13 RBIs during her senior season, when she served as a team captain for the Profs. Lee also was a Rowan Scholar-Athlete both seasons and received New Jersey Athletic Conference Academic Honorable Mention during her senior year, when she was inducted into the Chi Alpha Sigma National College Athlete Honor Society.
During her two seasons at Burlington County College, Lee hit .398 as a freshman in 2011 (35-for-88, with 26 RBIs and 16 runs) and .430 as a sophomore in 2012 (67-for-180 with 71 runs, 34 RBIs and 19 doubles).
Lee was a four-year varsity softball letterwinner at Oakcrest High School.
