MADISON, N.J. – The Drew University women's soccer team put plenty of pressure on the Rutgers-Camden goal on the opening day of the Drew Fall Festival, but it was the Scarlet Raptors who collected the only goal of the game.

Junior midfielder Michelle Barbone (Blackwood, NJ/Highland Regional) headed home a corner kick from senior midfielder Sarah Kooistra (Mantua, NJ/Clearview Regional) only 1:08 into the second overtime to lift the Scarlet Raptors to a 1-0 victory over the host Rangers.

Barbone's game-winning goal came on the first shot of the second overtime and only the Scarlet Raptors' seventh shot of the day. Drew held a 27-7 advantage in shots and a 6-1 edge in corner kicks.

In the day's other game, Ramapo College defeated Elms College, 2-0.

Raptor senior goalie Lauren West (Mantua, NJ/Clearview Regional) made 12 saves to earn her first shutout of the season, while Drew sophomore goalie Sara Nash (Kingston, WA/Kingston) had three saves.

The Scarlet Raptors return to action Sunday at the Drew Fall Festival, facing Elms College at 12 p.m.
