CAMDEN, N.J. (Oct. 3, 2018) – Heavy overnight rains in Pennsylvania have swamped the soccer field at DeSales University, cancelling today's scheduled women's soccer game for Rutgers University-Camden.
The Scarlet Raptors, 5-5-1, were supposed to play the Bulldogs in Center Valley, Pennsylvania, at 4 p.m., but DeSales' grass field is unplayable. The decision on whether or not there will be a makeup game is pending.
Rutgers-Camden, which has won two of its last three games, returns to action Saturday with a 7:30 p.m. New Jersey Athletic Conference game at Rutgers-Newark. The Scarlet Raptors are 2-1-1 in the NJAC, their best four-game conference start since they were also 2-1-1 in 2004. The Raptors will be trying to hike their conference mark to 3-1-1 for the first time in program history.
