Raptor golfers place 10th at F&M Fall Invitational
LITITZ, Penn. (Oct. 17, 2022) – Rutgers University-Camden senior
Patrick DeMareo shot a 6-over par 77 to tie for 27th out of 58 golfers as the Scarlet Raptors competed in the F&M Fall Invitational here Monday.
The annual Franklin & Marshall College event, was held at the Par 71, 6,750-yard Bent Creek Country Club.
Franklin & Marshall won the 12-team event by shooting an even-par 284. Dickinson and Swarthmore tied for second place with 287 team scores. Rutgers-Camden finished 10th with a 334 score, ahead of Ursinus (336) and Goucher, which didn't finish.
Franklin & Marshall's Shane Lawler was the medalist among the 58 golfers competing, carding a 5-under par 66.
In addition to DeMareo, who has led the Raptors at all three fall invitationals, Rutgers-Camden received a round of 82 from senior
Muhammad Farhan Qureshi, who tied for 45th overall. Freshman
Pearse Lee shot an 86 to finish 51st, while senior
David Gibson carded an 89 to place 54th.
Rounding out the Raptors' five-man team was freshman
Reid Walker, who shot a 108 to place 58th.
Rutgers-Camden closes its first-semester schedule with its own RU-Camden Scarlet Raptor Fall Invitational on Monday, Oct. 24. It will be held at the Rancocas Golf Club in Willingboro, beginning at 12 p.m.
