Scarlet Raptors finish fourth at annual RU-Camden Fall Invitational
WILLINGBORO, N.J. (Oct. 24, 2022) – On a day more suited for water fowl than birdies, the Rutgers University-Camden golf team finished fourth out of five teams at its annual RU-Camden Scarlet Raptor Fall Invitational here Monday.
The Scarlet Raptors recorded a 349 team score on a damp, raw day at the Par 71, 6,602-yard Rancocas Golf Club. It was the final outing of the fall semester for Rutgers-Camden.
Rosemont College won the event with a 318 score, followed by Jefferson University (339) and William Paterson University (344). Stockton University finished fifth (355).
Rosemont golfers Liam O'Rourke and Samuel Reynolds both shot a 7-over par 78 to lead the 26-golfer field. Reynolds earned medalist honors with a match of cards on the 10th hole (5-6).
Senior
Patrick DeMareo led the Scarlet Raptors, shooting an 82 to tie for seventh. Freshman
Pearse Lee finished second on the team and tied for 14th overall with an 88, while senior
Muhammad Farhan Qureshi carded an 89 to tie for 16th. Senior
David Gibson rounded out the Scarlet Raptors' scoring with a 90 to tie for 18th place, while freshman
Reid Walker was the team's fifth man, carding a 95 to finish 23rd.
A pair of Scarlet Raptors played as individuals, with senior
Ryan Lewbart tying for 18th with a 90, while senior
Robert Wolfram carded a 104 round to finish 26th.
