Raptors compete at Fastrack Last Chance Invitational
STATEN ISLAND, NY. (Feb. 25, 2022) – Several members of the Rutgers University-Camden indoor track program competed at the Fastrack Last Chance Invitational Friday at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex in Staten Island, New York.
On the women's side, freshman
Alexis Marini finished third out of 15 athletes in the shot put (10.71 meters) and senior
Emily Hilt placed fourth of 11 in the weight throw (14.78 meters).
In the 60-meter dash Open competition, freshman
Danaijah Boyce finished fifth of 11 (8.79) in her first meet with the Scarlet Raptors, while freshman
Hannah Crowley finished seventh (8.94).
Freshman
Alyson Petro and junior
Kaila English competed in the 60-meter dash Invite, a field of 24 runners. Petro finished 17th (8.40) and English was 23rd (9.06). Petro also finished 14th of 21 in the long jump (4.27) and sophomore
Lizette Abah was 15th in that event (4.26).
Freshman
Evelyn Macias finished 11th of 13 in the 500-meter dash (1:32.61) and freshman
Bree Smith placed 22nd of 23 in the 60-meter hurdle preliminaries (12.13). Freshman
Emily Owens and sophomore
Lily Beck also competed in the high jump, but were among three athletes missing the minimum 1.46-meter height.
For the men, senior
Jude Misko placed second out of seven in the weight throw (16.99 meters) and freshman
Tobias Prall finished 15th of 15 in the long jump (6.06 meters). Freshman
Devin Bennett was eighth of 11 in the 500-meter dash (1:15.32), while juniors
Oladayo Olatubosun and
Nate Harris competed in the 18-man field of the 60-meter dash Open. Olatubosun finished 14th (7.93) and Harris was 15th (8.01).
