Raptors set trio of program marks at Danny Curran Invitational
CHESTER, PA (April 2, 2022) – The Rutgers University-Camden track teams broke three more program records here Saturday as they competed on the last day of the Danny Curran Invitational.
Seniors
Emily Hilt and
Jude Misko broke their own program marks in the hammer throw, while freshman
Tobias Prall broke the long-time record in the long jump. It was Prall's second program record of the two-day Curran Invitational after he set a new triple jump mark on Friday.
Hilt finished first of 23 athletes with a hammer throw of 51.53, breaking the mark of 50.06 she set at the Stockton Invitational March 26.
Misko, competing in the men's hammer invite, placed fifth of nine athletes, losing only to non-collegiate athletes. His throw of 62.21 meters beat his own mark of 61.19 set April 21, 2021 at the Philadelphia Metropolitan Collegiate Invitational.
Prall finished second out of 27 with a long jump of 6.60 meters. The previous program mark of 6.45 meters was set by Kevin Blass on April 17, 1993 at Lincoln University and tied by Ray DePasquale on April 18, 2001 at the West Chester Invitational. Prall set the program triple jump mark of 13.59 meters Friday.
In addition to Hilt's performance in the hammer, sophomore
Alexis Marini finished fifth in the event with a throw of 38.77 meters.
