Riley leads Scarlet Raptor golfers at F&M Invitational

HUNTINGDON VALLEY, Penn. (Oct. 16, 2023) – Freshman Aidan Riley shot a 10-over par 81 to lead the Rutgers University-Camden golf team as the Scarlet Raptors tied for seventh out of 13 teams at the F&M Fall Invitational here Monday.
 
The event, hosted by Franklin and Marshall College, was held at the Par 71, 6,093-yard Bent Creek Country Club.
 
The Franklin and Marshall Blue team won the 13-team event, posting a 299 score on the Par 71, 6,093-yard course. F&M Blue's Shane Lawler was the medalist with an even-par 71, winning honors over Dickinson's Pater Lown, who also shot a 71. Lawler earned medalist by carding a birdie on the par-4 third hole, while Lown hit par with a 4.
 
Rutgers-Camden shot a 332 to tie with Lebanon Valley College for seventh place.
 
Riley tied for 30th in a field of 67 golfers. Sophomore Pearse Lee tied for 33rd with a round of 82, while sophomore Reid Walker tied for 41st with an 84. Freshman Santino Leone shot an 85 to tie for 46th and grad student David Gibson tied for 51st with a round of 87.
 
The Raptors close the fall semester by hosting their own RU-Camden Scarlet Raptor Fall Invitational on Monday, Oct. 23, at the Rancocas Golf Club in Willingboro.
