Lee, Raptors finish first at RU-Camden Invitational

WILLINGBORO, N.J. (Oct. 23, 2023) – The Rutgers University-Camden golf team closed out its brief fall semester season here Monday when it won its annual RU-Camden Scarlet Raptor Fall Invitational.
The event was held at the Par-71, 6,602-yard Rancocas Golf Club.

Rutgers-Camden finished with a 319 score in the three-team event to beat out Stockton University (345) and William Paterson University (352).

Pearse Lee earned medalist honors, shooting a 5-over par 76 to finish first in a field of 19 golfers. Raptor freshman
Santino Leone placed second with a 79.

Reid Walker, tied for fourth place with rounds of 82, while senior
David Gibson rounded out the Raptors' team with an 86 to place ninth.
Rutgers-Camden also had three golfers playing as individuals in their first invitational action of the fall season. Sophomore
Walter Pierce carded a score of 100 to finish 16th. Junior
Gloria Campos finished 17th with a 107 and freshman
Zachary Steward finished 18th with a 110.
