Raptor women place sixth at Jack Saint Clair Memorial race
PHILADELPHIA, Penn. (Oct. 7, 2023) – The Rutgers University-Camden women's cross country team placed sixth of 10 scoring teams as the Scarlet Raptors competed Saturday at the Jack Saint Clair Memorial Cross Country Race.
The race was held at the Belmont Plateau in Philadelphia's Fairmount Park.
The Raptor women scored 173 points, while the Rutgers-Camden men ran only four runners.
The Liberty Track Club won the women's 6K race with 15 points, led by Veronica Eder, who won the 74-woman race in a time of 21:34.1.
Rutgers-Camden sophomore co-captain
Isabella Bordon led the team in a time of 31:27.7 to finish 39th overall. Freshman
Xochitl Bautista-Castelan finished 41st in a time of 32:18.1, while freshman
Lindsay Lopez Trejo was 44th (32:30.9).

Tiffany Chan placed 53rd in a time of 35:27.1, while freshman
Kaitlyn Novak finished 65th (41:28.5) and freshman
Mya Cabanas Montero was 67th (42:25.7).
The Rutgers-Camden men ran only four runners in the men's 8K race, which was won by the Philadelphia Runner Track Club with 24 points. Milan Duka of UNAB was the individual winner in the 88-man race in a time of 27:08.1.

David Morrow led the Raptors and finished 37th in a time of 32:31.6, while his fellow co-captain, grad student
Miguel Angel Gisone, finished 58th in a time of 35:13.3. Sophomore
Walter Pierce placed 75th (38:05.9) and freshman
Angel Chaj was 86th (49:48.4).
The Scarlet Raptors will return to action on Wednesday in meet at Cairn University in Langhorne, Pennsylvania. The women's 6K race starts at 3 p.m., while the men run an 8K race at 4 p.m.
