Dinerman earns First Team honors as Raptors compete at NJAC Cross Country Championships

EWING, N.J. (Nov. 2, 2024) – Sophomore Jacob Dinerman earned New Jersey Athletic Conference First Team honors as the Rutgers University-Camden cross country teams competed here Saturday at the NJAC Championships, held at The College of New Jersey.
 
The Rutgers-Camden women finished seventh out of nine teams with 208 points, while the men finished sixth of seven teams (167).
 
Rowan won the team championship for both the men (25) and women (30). The Profs also featured the individual winners for both the men (Joshua Cason, 25:11.0) and the women (Mia Guerra, 22:10.7).
 
Dinerman posted a time of 25:41.5 to finish sixth out of 89 runners in the men's 8K race. He became the Scarlet Raptors' first male NJAC First Team runner since Alec Connelly in 2011.
 
The men's team also saw freshmen Josiah Saint Elien finish 75th (31:23.2), Antonio Busbee place 77th (31:36.6) and Kristopher Ewell finish 81st (32:55.3). Sophomore Angel Chaj finished 86th (38:26.5) and freshman Daniel Casasola finished 87th (44:40.5).
 
The Rutgers-Camden women were led by junior Isabella Bordon, who placed 64th (26:45.1) in the 111-field of the women's 6K race. Freshman A'Maya Stanard finished 81st (28:13.5), junior Xochitl Bautista-Castelan was 86th (29:18.2) and sophomore Linda Lopez Trejo finished 89th (29:49.3). The Raptors' team also included senior Maria Lopez, who finished 96th (31:46.2), senior Evelyn Macias Pilco, who finished 100th in a 33:44.1 clocking, senior Adriana Bradley, who was 104th (35:26.0) and sophomore Mya Cabanas Montero, who placed 106th (39:52.1).
 
The Rutgers-Camden women's team will compete at the NCAA Metro Regionals on Nov. 16 at Stockton University.
