Dinerman All-Conference First Team as NJAC announces cross country honorees

CAMDEN, N.J. (Nov. 4, 2024) – When Rutgers University-Camden sophomore Jacob Dinerman finished sixth out of 89 runners at the New Jersey Athletic Conference Cross Country Championships on Saturday, he became the Scarlet Raptors' first NJAC First Team runner in more than a decade.
 
His honor was officially announced by the NJAC today when the conference posted its All-NJAC men's and women's cross country teams.

Dinerman posted an 8K time of 25:41.5 at the NJAC meet, held at The College of New Jersey. He became the first Rutgers-Camden male to earn NJAC First Team honors since Alec Connelly in 2011. He is only the fifth Scarlet Raptor in program history to capture NJAC First Team recognition.
 
Dinerman has run two of the top 10 8K times in program history and three of the top 13. He has led the Scarlet Raptors' team in all six of his invitationals this fall, while finishing among the top six runners at four meets and among the top 16 at the other two.

Dinerman, who spent his first collegiate season at TCNJ, was the individual champion out of 93 runners at the Highlander Invitational on Oct. 5 and was third of 78 runners at the season-opening Philadelphia Cross Country Classic on Sept. 7. At the massive 279-runner Border Battle, competing in the 8K Championship race, he finished 14th with his Rutgers-Camden PR of 24:57.9, the third-best 8K time in program history.
 
Dinerman was named the NJAC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week on Sept. 9 and was honored as the Rutgers-Camden Raptor of the Week on both October 7 and November 4.
 
Dinerman will compete at the NCAA Metro Regionals Nov. 16 at Stockton University.
