GLENSIDE, Penn. (March 30, 2024) – The Rutgers University-Camden men's tennis team returned to action here Saturday, losing a 9-0 match against Arcadia University.
The loss drops the Scarlet Raptors to 0-4 for the 2023-24 scholastic year, while Arcadia improves to 4-1.
Freshman
John Brady and senior
Edward McWilliams Jr. dropped an 8-3 decision at first doubles, while sophomores
Christopher Abacan and
Thanh Ngo fell at second doubles, 8-1. The third doubles team of senior
Tyrone King Jr. and freshman
Jeremy Young also lost an 8-1 decision.
At first singles, McWilliams was defeated, 7-6 (8-6), 6-1, while Abacan lost at second singles, 6-1, 6-0. Ngo was defeated, 6-0, 6-2, at third singles, Brady lost at fourth singles, 5-7, 1-6, King lost at the fifth flight, 6-0, 6-1, and Young dropped an 8-0 decision at sixth singles.
Rutgers-Camden travels to King's College in Pennsylvania on April 7 to play a pair of teams. The Scarlet Raptors face Elizabethtown College at 9 a.m. and King's College at 12 p.m.
