Walker leads golf team at Dickinson College Spring Invite

CARLISLE, Penn. (April 14, 2024) – The Rutgers University-Camden golf team finally had a nice day to compete, and as a result the Scarlet Raptors carded their best score of the 2023-24 scholastic year, shooting a 314 to tie for sixth place out of 14 teams at the Dickinson College Spring Invite here Sunday.
 
The event was held at the Par 72, 6,672-yard Carlisle Barracks Golf Course and featured a field of 70 golfers.
 
Swarthmore College claimed the team title with a 290 score, while Swarthmore's Benjamin Garcia Moreira and Catholic's Colin Coogan both carded a 2-under-par 70.
 
Rutgers-Camden sophomore Reid Walker carded a 4-over par 76 to tie for 14th place, while sophomore Pearse Lee and freshman Aidan Riley both shot rounds of 78 to tie for 20th place. Freshman Santino Leone rounded out the Scarlet Raptors' team, shooting an 82 to tie for 45th place.
 
The Scarlet Raptors jump right back into action on Monday when they compete in the Franklin & Marshall Spring Invitational, held at the Bent Creek Country Club in Lititz, Pennsylvania.
