Scarlet Raptors finish fourth at United East Men's Golf Championship

HUNTINGDON VALLEY, Penn. (April 27, 2024) – The Rutgers University-Camden golf team shot a second-day round of 327 and finished in fourth place out of nine teams on the final day of the United East Conference Men's Golf Championships here Sunday.
 
The two-day championships were played at the Philmont Country Club, a Par 70, 6,502-yard course.
 
Penn College successfully defended its United East championship with a two-day total of 624, finishing nine strokes ahead of Penn State-Harrisburg. Lancaster Bible College finished third at 657, while Rutgers-Camden was fourth at 659. The Scarlet Raptors shot a 332 round on the opening day of the championships Saturday and a 327 on Sunday.
 
Penn State's Peyton Mussina was the individual medalist, shooting a 70-79—149 over the two days to lead the field of 45 golfers.
 
Rutgers-Camden freshman Aidan Riley shot a 78-84—162 to pace the Scarlet Raptors and tie for 12th overall. Sophomore Pearse Lee carded an 85-79—164 to finish in 15th place overall, while freshman Santino Leone was tied for 16th with a two-day total of 84-81—165.
 
Sophomore Reid Walker carded an 85-83—168 to finish 21st.
 
The Raptors' fifth golfer, sophomore Corbett Sarno, shot a 119-114—233 to finish 44th.
